Our Thanksgiving Feast was wonderful. Students enjoyed preparing for the feast by weaving place mats, making thankful pumpkin decorations, and place cards.
We enjoyed eating delicious food served by teachers and volunteers. Students enjoyed apples, carrots, turkey sandwhiches, cranberries, pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, and cornbread. After we ate we did five activities to learn about Thanksgiving.

Students did activities following the feast. They made hornbooks (what Pilgrim children used in school to learn to read and do math), discussed currency with Wampum bead necklaces, played games, read a magazine about Pilgrim children's lives, and learned about the first colonies. Students were respectful and eager to share ideas with volunteers. It was a great day of learning and fun!
